Canvas prints can be expensive. Try transferring photos yourself onto scrap wood for a similar look using just one product!
I've tried this technique on canvas and unfortunately the image doesn't transfer well, but simply sand down the sides of the wood, paint them white, and no one will know it's not a canvas!

I purchased acrylic gel medium (Mod Podge or generic brand) from an art shop. In total the project of 4 medium and two large wooden signs cost $20 (for two tubs of gel medium).

1. Print out image or photo you would like to transfer. **make sure the image and writing is reversed as you'll be placing the image picture-side down onto the wood**
2. Cut wood to size and sand front to create a smooth surface (if rough). If you do not want the wood to show through the image (i.e. fake canvas), be sure to choose a light piece of wood with minimal grain.
3. Cover wood with a light layer of gel medium.
4. Place paper picture side down and firmly smooth out all bubbles.
5. Let dry overnight.
6. Wet surface with a damp cloth.
7. Gently rub wet paper and clean all paper residue off.
8. Cover with gel medium to finish and let dry.
9. Hang it, lean, or stand it, and enjoy!
The wood sign in the photo below came out very dark as I used a piece of scrap mahogany. For image colours to come through make sure to use a light piece of wood.
